Neandertales

Neandertales teaches Dutch through what founder Max Koedood calls the natural method: learners first absorb the language through specially written language novels such as Nieuw in Nederland, then activate it in ten-week speaking courses. Courses run from beginner (A0 to A2) through upper-intermediate (B1 to B2) level, in daytime and evening slots, with both standard and intensive tracks plus a distinctive philosophy course for advanced speaking and writing practice. The school is based on the Schietbaanlaan in Rotterdam and pairs its courses with an active online learner community. With more than 5,500 books sold and hundreds of students brought to fluency, the approach suits learners who prefer story-based learning over grammar drills.
