Rotterdamse Volksuniversiteit

The Rotterdamse Volksuniversiteit is one of the city's longest-established adult education institutions, housed on the Heemraadssingel in Rotterdam West. Its extensive NT2 program is divided into eight levels from A1 through C1, including plus-variants such as A2+ and B1+, so learners can enter at a precisely matched starting point. Each level takes 15 lessons and concludes with an official TOA exam, and the program is largely aimed at preparing students for the civic integration exam and the Staatsexamen NT2. As a broad volksuniversiteit it also runs courses in many other languages and subjects, giving Dutch learners an affordable, structured classroom environment with placement testing to determine their starting level.
