Taalhuis Amsterdam - Amsterdam (Gerard Doustraat 220)

Taalhuis Amsterdam operates as a "house for languages" in the heart of De Pijp, teaching 11 languages with native speakers representing cultures around the Mediterranean and beyond. Dutch courses form a major part of the program, with classes running throughout the year at multiple levels.

The school occupies a beautiful building with 13 spacious classrooms, a welcoming café serving daily lunch buffets and good coffee, a library, and a bookstore for course materials. Deepening courses let students revisit important grammar after completing a level, conversation courses build speaking confidence, and private lessons and in-company training cover personalized needs.

Beyond the courses, Taalhuis organizes film nights, intercambios (language exchanges), cooking classes, and book clubs, plus annual language trips abroad: Dutch on the island Schiermonnikoog, Italian in Torino, Greek in Pelion.

The multilingual environment means questions can be answered in Greek, French, Italian, or other Taalhuis languages, and the school is an official CILS examination center for Italian certification.
