About Volksuniversiteit Amsterdam
Volksuniversiteit Amsterdam is a long-established adult education center, part of a network dating back over a century, offering Dutch as a Second Language (NT2) courses from its location near Javaplein in Amsterdam East.
The full progression runs from absolute beginner (A0) through upper-advanced (C1 and beyond), split into beginner, intermediate, advanced, and upper-advanced tracks, plus a dedicated conversation course for students wanting focused speaking practice. Courses run in both online and in-person formats.
As part of a broader adult education institution offering hundreds of courses across arts, culture, and languages, Volksuniversiteit Amsterdam serves a wide cross-section of internationals and non-native speakers rather than specializing narrowly in exam preparation.
